From One Direction to Ariana Grande: AMAs’ Top 3 Performances

Another year, another phenomenal AMAs! We were truly presented with incredible winners, amazing fashion choices (we’re looking at you Harry Styles) but of course, the performances were the icing on the cake.

Celine Dion made a moving tribute to the victims of the Paris attacks, Demi Lovato proved she is better than ever with her amazing performance of ‘Confident’, and 5 Seconds of Summer served us our well needed pop-punk pick up with ‘Hey Everybody.’ But, like everybody, we have our favourites. Here’s our top picks of the performances from the AMAs 2015.

3.  One Direction – Perfect

One Direction are proof that you don’t need a huge production to have an impact. Just pure talent. The four-piece treated the award show to a stripped back performance of their smash-hit ‘Perfect’ with only a backdrop, their voices, and Liam’s dance moves, the boys became the most tweeted about act of the night, and took home ‘Best Pop/Rock Group/Duo’ and ‘Artist of The Year.’ Not a bad night, eh boys ?

 2. Justin Bieber- Where R U Now?/What Do You Mean?/ Sorry

Nothing quite says comeback like performing in the rain. Justin killed his return to the AMAs with a high energy performance, showing he won’t be holding back any more. Did we mention he also did an acoustic?! Justin, we salute you!

1.Ariana Grande – Focus

Focus wasn’t a performance, it was a high end production. Ariana proved herself as one of the best pop stars on the planet after she served the AMAs crowd with her best performance to date! Her vocals cast a spell upon everyone in the room, her dance routine was impeccable. And she took home ‘Best Female Pop/Rock.’ Ariana, the focus was certainly on you.
