One Direction donate their shoes to charity

The boys of One Direction have once again chosen to give back to those in need. They have recently decided to support the charity organization Small Steps Project by donating their shoes for a charity auction. The four boys also signed their shoes and 100 % of the money raised will go to charity.

Small Steps Project’s goal is to provide all children and families who live or work on municipal rubbish dumps and landfill sites with shoes and aid that will enable them to take small steps out of poverty. The organization delivers shoes, hygiene kits and emergency aid to protect children in the dump environment, followed by sustainable solutions to enable children to take small steps off rubbish dumps and into education. They are working to improve global awareness of international waste systems and the human rights violations encountered by waste scavengers, through documentary films.

Louis Tomlinson donated his blue and white Adidas shoes in size 8. The current bid is at £410. Harry Styles donated his Saint Laurent leather cowboy boots in size 9. The current bid for Styles’ boots is at £510. Liam Payne donated his brown Clarks boots in size 8 and the current bid for those is also at £510. Niall Horan donated his Paul Smith chelsea boots in size 8.5. The current bid for his boots is the highest of the four at £760. There are only four days left of the auction so you have to be fast if you want to have a chance of getting a pair of One Direction’s shoes.

The One Direction lads are also currently involved with another charity organization called Believe in Magic. Believe in Magic spreads hope and happiness to terminally ill children and their families by making their dreams and wishes come true. The members of the band have supported the organization for as long as they’ve been a band and are now ambassadors for Believe in Magic. Louis Tomlinson and his mother, Johannah Deakin, have even hosted a Cinderella ball in order to give terminally ill children a special night to remember.  The current campaign raises money to the organization and gives you a chance to meet One Direction in London during the holidays. All you have to do is make a donation to their Prizeo page.

You can read more about the two charity organizations on their respective Twitter pages @SmallStepsDocs and @believeinmagicx.
