On April 7th, Harry Styles will shake the world of music as we know it with the debut of his solo single ‘Sign of the Times’. With nothing more than a thirty-second advert and an Instagram post, it’s already become one of the most talked about singles of the year. In fact, he already has a spot on Saturday Night Live to perform said single, without the public even hearing a note of it yet. Harry is a legend, there’s no other way to describe him.
Fans of Harry, and of One Direction are also legends and they’re proving that again with their latest mission to promote ‘Sign of the Times’ as well as their program where fans are signing up to gift the tune to those who need it. The aim is to get the single to number one and to keep it there.
The 3rd was the first day of the initiative and the prompt was Harry and fans favorite performances. If you search the hashtag, you’ll see everything from old stage moments to songs from One Direction’s OTRA tour before the band took their hiatus and everything in between. It’s hard to narrow it down when it comes to his live performances. He’s got charisma, stage presence, and he absolutely owns every single song he sings. Watching Harry perform is art.
The next prompt is ‘others about Harry’, including some moments that other celebrities had positive/kind things to say about him as a person, performer, and now – an actor.

It’s important now more than ever to show Harry support, especially coming from fans who have been there since the beginning. This is an exciting new chapter for Harry and it’s something he’s worked incredibly hard on. He should be able to feel proud of the time, dedication, and passion that he’s given to his solo music and rather than hold him up to standards of musicians past or standards of what people feel entitled to expect, we should give his music a chance to stand on its own.
Harry, we’re rooting for you, and we can’t wait to see what comes next for you. You deserve this.
