One Direction fans are rejoicing as the boys have just released another track from Made In The A.M for fans to enjoy while anxiously awaiting the rest of the album on Friday the 13th. With each new song Harry, Louis, Niall, and Liam release; fans are more impressed, more excited, and full of pride because of the extreme talent the boys possess and show off without fear on this, their fifth album.
End Of The Day is the song most One Direction fans will be listening to for the rest of the day on repeat and it is a hell of a tune! The lyrics are well thought out and expressive about love and how at the end of the day what’s done is done, what’s said is said, and even if it threatens to break your heart entirely – you can’t ignore it’s calling.
What’s incredible about this album so far – from the array of songs fans have been given a chance to listen to – is the way this album shows off so much more maturity and growth in the boys from their vocals, their high notes, and their runs to the lyrics, the depth of them, and the way you can tell that they put a lot of their own hearts, souls, stories, and desires into these songs. The boys have been a part of lovely music making up to this point – but this album is blowing everyone out of the water and it’s bringing with it long overdue praise for Louis, Harry, Liam, and Niall.
This love song is one that’s going to be in the heads of anyone who hears it; we can already imagine being on a bus or walking about and hearing people humming along without even realizing it. It has a bit of a ‘Steal My Girl’ feel while having a deeper set of lyrics to accompany the intoxicating beat of the tune!
Liam, Niall, Louis, and Harry have shed away from their love songs talking about how pretty the girl of their dreams is and how even if she’s not perfect she’s perfect for them and have dug a little deeper into the true emotion and meaning of love. This song doesn’t talk about love and desiring someone for their physical beauty or the quirky things about them that catch your eye and end up stealing your heart. It instead is about just desiring someone to be with you at the end of the day – not for what they appear to be but for who they are.
There are lyrics like “the priest thinks it’s the devil, my mom thinks it’s the flu – but girl it’s only you” to “love can be frightening for sure” and “if there’s something I’ve learnt from a million mistakes – you’re the one that I want at the end of the day” that fans of any age can relate to. First love is scary and can make you love sick, true love is frightening but it can change your life, and love that survives mistakes and plants itself not only in your heart; but your mind, body, and spirit – well, that’s forever love.

And fear not fans who hate gender pronouns in One Direction tunes – Harry himself has said not every song is as black and white as that – as well as other song writers adding that they bring a bit of their own emotions to the song writing process too. You can interpret the songs to mean something special to you regardless of what they sing about. Personally, we see it this way – they’re a boy band, some of their songs are going to going to use pronouns but it doesn’t make them any less lovely! This song is a hit for sure and we’re so excited for people who have given One Direction a brush off to hear tunes like this one and give them the credit they deserve for the level of talent they possess.
Seems like the boys know quite a bit about love, longing, and realizing that sometimes it takes ups, downs, and a bit of a fight to keep your soulmate. A lovely little sentiment from a group of young lads who possess hearts of gold that have experienced true love and won’t let it go now innit?
