Just when we thought we couldn’t love Pedro Santos more, he’s gone and dropped his brand new single ‘Lady In Red’ – and it’s a real game changer!
Co-written by the singer along with producer Jordan Cosmo (Jonas Blue, Here At Last), and mixed by Cenzo Townshend (The Rolling Stones, Snow Patrol, Kaiser Chiefs), the emotionally charged pop banger sits somewhere between Santos’ early boy band beginnings, and the timeless recordings of power house balladeers Lewis Capaldi and Adele – it’s super rich melody and brutally honest lyric showcasing the Portuguese stars genuine knack, and talent for songwriting.
Speaking of the track, Pedro says: “‘Lady In Red’ was a song that took me a while to finish alongside Jordan who produced and co-wrote it, because of how vulnerable I had to be. It made sense to take some of the song away with me to live with it for a bit. When we finished the song, everything just felt right. It’s the moment I wanted to capture – the hug I had with my mother after being at my lowest.”
