The boys of One Direction have had a busy 2015 and it is not slowing down! Less than a week after the release of their new hit single ‘Perfect’ Harry, Louis, Niall, and Liam released their music video to accompany it.
Perfect is an almost 4 minute upbeat fun love song and the possibilities for the music video were endless. Fans of One Direction got stills, around the time the single dropped, of the four boys in various spots at a New York City hotel. Louis, Harry, Liam, and Niall all looked incredible in the photos and now after finally seeing the video in it’s entirety – we are even more in love with ‘Perfect’.
The video – done entirely in black and white – plays around one of the fan favorite lyrics of the song ‘if you like causing trouble up in hotel rooms’. The boys are seen having fun and causing ruckus throughout the Intercontinental Hotel and it’s lovely to again see the boys all filming together and enjoying each other’s company.
‘Perfect’ was hailed an ironic love song from sources before it was released to fans and after hearing the single and seeing the video it’s easy to see why. The love story described in perfect is anything but what most people would pick for their ideal romance story but it works anyway, and it works better.
The video, which shows the lads having fun together, and singing into the camera for some solo shots, showcases their love for one another as well. Louis and Liam are seen having a kick about, Liam gets a tattoo, Niall plays guitar and Harry dances around in a hallway – all done gorgeously – how do the boys make even the most simple things attractive?!?
It’s easy to see that their bond formed during their time as One Direction is as strong as ever and it gives us a glimpse into what likely happens on tour when four young lads are stuck traveling hotel to hotel with little space to actually be free. It’s a bit of a behind the scenes look into the lives of the lads and it’s lovely for us to get a glimpse of!
Sure they probably don’t actually play footie all across the hotel and have mini concerts across different rooms and floors but you know they find their own ways to make fun use of those hotel room days and nights!
Being quite possibly the last video we’ll get from One Direction before their 2016 hiatus; it is obvious that they put a lot of time, love, and effort into making this video special for the fans.
The lads have given multiple interviews now where they’ve been asked about their break and while it’s been determined to be for an undecided amount of time – they’ve all voiced how important it is for them to come back to One Direction, how they’re just a bit exhausted and want some time to explore themselves and to just be young lads, and how much the fans mean to them.
Louis, Harry, Liam, and Niall have promised us they’ll return and it’ll be better than ever once they do – so thank you boys for an incredible video accompanying an amazing song and thank you for the togetherness it showed us. We love nothing more than seeing you all smiling and laughing and enjoying the ride.
We, as usual, are incredibly proud of you and are excited for the future – the days we’ll get with you and even the ones without – because you deserve the rest and the chance to find yourselves in the midst of living your dream. You’ve more than earned it.
