Fresh off her solo renaissance, Perrie stuns with her bold new single ‘If He Wanted To He Would’—an empowering pop BOP that flips the script on romantic complacency. Released TODAY (August 22nd) the rousing track bursts with unapologetic honesty, and anthemic hooks that echo her Little Mix roots while forging a confident new identity.
A Sonic Refresh
Let’s be real — going solo is scary! Perrie admitted she had a wobble (imposter syndrome, tears, the whole thing), but with a little therapy and a lot of tunes written straight from the heart, she’s bounced back bigger than ever. ‘If He Wanted To He Would’ screams confidence, sparkle, and sass!
Co-written with pop genius Nina Nesbitt and The Nocturns, Pez cleverly uses the tracks forthright and conversational lyrics as a way to dish out the ultimate advice for anyone waiting on that “almost” boyfriend — if he doesn’t show you the respect you deserve, show him the door!
Shot within the grandeur of a palace, the singles accompanying music video pays homage to iconic rom-coms like Mean Girls, Clueless, Bridesmaids, Pretty Woman, and Love Actually, weaving cinematic flair with Perrie’s someone-you-can-count-on vibe.
