Photographer Alex Cameron is one of those people who is just a good soul, she uses her gift of taking absolutely stunning photographs to make others feel beautiful. She recently teamed up with Stand Up To Cancer to do a body confidence shoot for Georgie,a twenty seven year old lady who was diagnosed with Hodgkin Lymphoma in 2018.
The idea of a body confidence shoot is pretty much exactly what it says, it’s purpose is to inspire the subject of the photo, to feel confident in their body and embrace and love themselves.
As Alex explains in the video the shoot is done in three parts, the first is an a baggy/loose fitting item of clothing, the second is done in underwear and the third, depending how the subject being photographed feels is naked.
In the heartwarming video, Georgie talks openly about how having cancer affected her confidence, that when she looked in the mirror she struggled to see herself and her body in a positive light. She said “You get it up it’s cancer, you go to bed it’s cancer, it’s like storm clouds rolling in.”
