Pink was chosen “for her trailblazing impact on music, pop culture, fashion and philanthropy” according to MTV officials. She will also perform her new single What About Us.

The award is MTV’s ultimate honour as it commends a performer’s influence on contemporary art, music and fashion. We think Pink deserves the award and rightly so!
