Electro-pop singer Neela just released her most powerful creation yet with the compelling visual accompaniment to her club track “La La La.”
The contrasting nature of the seemingly fun-loving club track paired with this introspective and artful video invests Neela with a mysterious, hypnotic personae, and for the first time takes her music outside of the club (if only temporarily).
The video has Neela as a sort of artful robot going on a journey of discovery throughout the cityscapes and beaches of Toronto. The visuals are beautifully shot with scenes of Dundas Square, AMC Theatre, and red curtain arrangements giving you a Twin Peaks vibe. While the background visuals are cinematic and striking, Neela still manages to maintain your focus as she takes center stage throughout.
Managing to never break character, Neela’s acting and dance training are evident in this video. This video is 100% Neela, one where she shows the multiple facets of her creativity and really shines through as an artist.
If “La La La” is the direction that Neela is heading, the artistic and sonic possibilities provide a vast array of visionary soundscapes. This video release shows us a new side of Neela, a side that is outside of the club, elevating her imaginative originality to new heights.
