Young talent Allegra returns with the accompanying music video for her breakout single ‘All About Us’, and in the process shows the world exactly the kind of artist that she is. The track, with its laid back vibe and infectiously catchy melody, is a much-needed dose of summer to get us through these dark winter months.
Produced by Scott Stoddart of the hit-making Audiofreaks Stable (who currently have three songs on hold for BTS), and released through Freaktone Records, it’s clear that the industry understands the talent of this young artist. The track has attracted some of the hottest names from the world of dance music to remix the track, and it has already reached number two on both the commercial and upfront dance charts.
The video, with its laidback vibe and vibrant use of colour, is a very welcome introduction to this young soon-to-be-star. The setting (an abandoned warehouse) is contrasted by the styling, and the juxtaposition of these two aesthetic worlds results in a fresh, new, and truly interesting video. The video seems to be a celebration of personal identity and truly captures the feeling of excitement when you decide to follow your heart.
Allegra writes her own music (which is uncommon for an artist of her age), and it is this that allows her material to be so genuine. Her songs are inspired and influenced by real life events and so they are able to capture those coming-of-age experiences (that so many of us can relate to) sensitively and maturely.
