We all knew Tyler Posey was a prince. Now, it’s official!
Posey will be playing Prince Alonso in Disney Channel’s upcoming animated series Elena of Avalor.
The highly anticipated Elena of Avalor will feature Disney’s first ever Latina princess.
Posey, known for playing the heroic and lovable werewolf lead in MTV’s Teen Wolf, is of Mexican heritage, which makes him perfect for this role. His character, Prince Alonso, will be “a charming prince from the Argentine-inspired Kingdom of Cordoba,” according to Latin Times.
Elena of Avalor will tell the story of Elena, a courageous and adventurous teenage princess. Having just defeated an evil sorceress and saving her kingdom, Elena must learn to rule Avalor before she comes of age and becomes queen.
The series will premiere on Disney Channel on Friday, July 22.
