Don’t Give Up on Me Now

R3HAB Releases ‘Don’t Give Up On Me Now,’ ft. Julie Bergan

Dutch-Moroccan DJ and producer R3HAB has teamed up with Norwegian pop diva Julie Bergan to produce an infectious, vibrant new song/music video – “Don’t Give Up on Me Now.”

Norway’s Julie Bergan is a major celebrity in her native country, as well as Europe. Her accomplishments include numerous platinum records, one of which, her album Turn On The Lights, went double-platinum. With over 320 million streams on Spotify, her music earned a Spellemann Award, which is Norway’s version of our Grammy Award.

R3HAB burst on the music scene with the release of his debut album, Trouble, which has amassed more than 500,000,000 streams. He followed with his sophomore album, The Wave, gathering more than 200 million streams, placing four tracks on Billboard’s Top 100 Dance chart.

Prior to collaborating with Bergan, R3HAB’s previous collabs included Icona Pop and A Touch Of Class, along with remixes for The Chainsmokers, P!nk, Danny Ocean, and Sofi Tukker, along with others.

“Don’t Give Up on Me Now” travels on light guitars during the intro, and then segues into tight and right dance melody riding a thick, muscular rhythm. Trembling, iridescent coloration from the synths infuses the tune with vivid flavors. Bergan’s delicious voice, full of electrifying timbres, delivers the lyrics with unbridled passion. It’s a translucent, crystalline voice full of probing surface colors.

“Don’t you even think ’bout giving up on me now / Don’t you even think ’bout walking out of my life / Everything I do, I do it for you / I need you to stay, stay tonight / Don’t give up on me now.”

Full of polished, potent elegance, “Don’t Give Up on Me Now” offers a driving rhythm, yummy harmonics, and Bergan’s gorgeously affecting voice.
