R3HAB teams up with global supergroup Now United for the awesome new single and music video “Run Till Dark”

Another stunning collaboration has been dropped today, this time between R3HAB and Now United, titled “Run Till Dark”. The single is an addictive track that was clearly meant to be, and the accompanying music video is a total must-watch. This follows up R3HAB’s remix of Don Bigg’s single “Caminando” and Now United’s Skytech remix of their single “Holiday”.

R3HAB, real name Fadil El Ghoul, is a multi-platinum DJ and producer with many hits to his name. He has remixed songs from some of the biggest artists in the world including Rihanna, Drake, Taylor Swift, and Calvin Harris, released tracks that have been global successes such as “All Around the World (La La La)” which was a collaboration with A Touch of Class and “Revolution” which was a collaboration with NERVO and Ummet Ozcan, and has worked with a number of stars from the likes of Sofia Carson and Zayn to Luis Fonsi and EXO. His work has collected over 9 billion streams to date, including 1.1 billion in 2022 alone. He has performed all over the world including EDC, Ultra Music Festival, Tomorrowland, Balaton Sound, Coachella, Summer Sonic Festival, and DWP Jakarta, and he is within the top 15 DJs in the world according to DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs chart. He is a household name in the EDM world, and it’s no surprise since he has excellent artistry. We expect he’ll have a few more global hits in the coming years.

As for Now United, they are a global pop supergroup consisting of 18 singers and dancers from 18 different countries. The world’s first-ever global supergroup was created by Simon Fuller (Idols creator – including Pop Idol and American Idol, as well as known for managing the Spice Girls in the ’90s), where originally the group consisted of 14 members from different countries, but they soon expanded to 18 members in 2021. Many members have left and new members have joined while still sticking with each member being from a different country. We even sat down and interviewed them in 2018, although a lot has changed within the group since then. The unique concept has led to them gaining fans around the world with many of their fanbase feeling connected to them and feelings of relatability due to the dynamic of the group – this is prevalent on their social media channels where they have over 180 million followers, with their YouTube channel hitting over 8 million subscribers whilst their videos collectively have gained over 3 billion views. Over on TikTok, the hashtag #nowunited has been shared over 12 billion times whilst their music on Spotify has millions upon millions of streams. Their 2019 single “Na Na Na” is their most-streamed song on the platform with 32 million streams whilst “Summer In The City” and “Who Would Think That Love?” aren’t too far behind at 28 million and 25 million streams respectively. We reckon a global hit track is bound to go viral for them and chart worldwide in the next year or two, and it’ll be well-deserved considering the passion and drive that they have collectively, as a group.

Talking about the collaboration, R3HAB said: “I have always been a huge fan of how Now United represents so many cultures in harmony, so I’m beyond excited to join forces again for our new single ‘Run Till Dark’ because their vibrant pop energy pairs naturally with my vision of dance-pop. In ‘Run Till Dark’, we tap into the unique musical pulse the world has to offer, which we captured in our new music video shot in the mesmerizing oases of AlUla. Our hope is that listeners realize we’re all running to the same pulse and, in this moment, feel how connected we are.”

Making it their third collaboration after R3HAB and Now United teamed up in 2020 for “One Love” and the R3HAB-produced track “Jump” featuring Alta B in 2021, “Run Till Dark” is just an incredibly unforgettable dance-pop anthem. It has been written by Adivaldo Pereira Alves, Allison Kaplan, Cristian De Souza Augusto, Fadil El Ghoul, Lewis Hughes, Nicholas Audino, and Paulo Alexandre Marques Santos whilst it has been produced by R3HAB & Lewis Hughes. The track showcases R3HAB’s versatility within the EDM world as he transforms this into a total cultural dance-pop vibe, easily crafting breezy melodies with a soft and worldly bassline. Add in the absolutely stunning vocals from Now United who add emotion to the hopeful lyrics and harmonise subtly while allowing certain members to shine – Mélanie Thomas (from the Ivory Coast) takes the lead on this one powering through with soulful vibes that touches our hearts as she has clearly connected with the track, all the while managing to keep the awesome dance-pop vibe. As the chorus hits, Now United shines as a collective, with stunning quick-shot harmonies determined to make you feel the beat and make sure you have the song stuck in your head for the rest of the day.

The stunning accompanying music video has been filmed in AlUla, Saudi Arabia showcasing the gorgeous ancient oases. In typical Now United fashion, they absolutely blow us away with their incredible choreographed dance routine that is absolutely fierce and on-point in every single way. It has been choreographed by Nicky Andersen, and we watch as the 18-member group connect with the track whilst also keeping their youthful energy which is perfect for the dance-pop song. There is also a slight narration to the visual, as we watch R3HAB on a pilgrimage for the source of the song where he journeys all day until he comes across Now United and joins them in celebration of the track, around a campfire.
