The 2017 Radio 1 Teen Awards took place in London yesterday (Sunday, October 22nd).
Hosted by Nick Grimshaw and Rita Ora, the event saw some of the biggest names in music take to the stage at Wembley Arena, to perform in front of a sold out crowd of teens aged between 14 – 17.
As well as awarding celebrities, the Radio 1 Teen Awards also celebrate inspirational teenagers from across the UK, who have overcome illness or helped to make a positive change in their local community.

Radio 1’s Teen Hero Award Winners 2017:
My Mind & Me Teen Hero Award for Mental Health
Holly (15) and Oliver (13) who offer psychological, emotional and physical care to their mum. The teenage brother and sister have also set up a charity called ‘The Adams Movement’, with their older brother Josh.
One Million Hours Teen Hero Award for Volunteering
Charlotte (17), who has been though the care system herself, is passionate about changing the future of care and uses her own experience to influence nationwide policy.
Generally Amazing Teen Hero Award
Harrison (12) inspires other children with tackling obesity, anxiety and depression.
After turning his own life around through exercise and changing his diet, Harrison documented his journey via social media, inspiring other children to follow in his footsteps.
When it came to performers on the day, Radio 1 pulled out all the stops, securing some of todays best known chart front runners Dua Lipa, The Vamps, James Arthur, Liam Payne, Camila Cabello and Rita Ora, who all took to the stage to perform some of their biggest hits.
