Elton John is known for being a wonderful performer and putting on fantastic concerts, and Wednesday night in Los Angeles, California was no exception. The English singer-songwriter announced back in December that he would be playing at The Wiltern for one night only.

The special gig, entitled “One Wonderful Crazy Night”, promised exclusive performances of songs from Elton’s next studio album “Wonderful Crazy Night”, out February 5th. On top of the brand new songs, Elton also played some of his greatest hits as a part of the intimate show.

However, tickets were not cheap. General Admission cost $200 per ticket, and a special backstage tour was offered at $800 per ticket. But fans just knew they were in for a special treat with this show! During his performance, Elton brought out special guests to come and sing duets with him on stage.

Island Records, who sponsored the exclusive concert, posted this shot of Demi Lovato to their Twitter page. She sang with Elton John on his classic song “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart”.

After the concert, Shawn Mendes posted a picture on his Instagram account saying how “unforgettable” it was to perform the hit “Tiny Dancer” with Elton.

Lead singer of the band Fall Out Boy, Patrick Stump, was also a guest. The Los Angeles based radio station, 102.7 KIIS-FM, posted this video on Instagram of the pair on stage.

Before he took the stage, Elton John recorded a SiriusXM special to air February 4th on The Spectrum (channel 28). He did a short performance of five songs before answering some questions. In between recording for radio and his performance later that night, Elton dabbled on his piano and ended up playing David Bowie’s hit song “Space Oddity”. The musician then said a few words about the late legend – how Bowie’s music never needed interpretation, but that “It speaks for itself”. He also commended Bowie for how private the man stayed in the last 10 years about his battles with his health and his music career.
