After taking the UK chart by storm over the past few weeks, Shawn Mendes has made a welcome return to London and dropped by Radio 1 for a Live Lounge session.
The Canadian singer, who is currently number one in the UK singles chart with his song ‘Stitches’, made an appearance at the studios on Tuesday (2nd February) for a chat with presenter Clara Amfo.
In true Live Lounge style, he also performed his hit single ‘Stitches’ as well as a fantastic cover. Shawn opted to cover Alessia Cara’s Here.
We think Shawn did an excellent performance and despite appearing confident, he later tweeted that he was feeling very nervous about his session!

Shawn’s UK domination continues tonight as he will be doing his first ever UK TV performance on BBC’s The One Show at 7pm.

It’s great to see Shawn getting some well deserved recognition in the UK – his London show on May 6th looks set to be a sell out!
