With the release of their era-defining debut EP ‘Generation’, rising British girl group RLY provide a voice for those feeling disenchanted, and confused by the trappings of modern life.
Made up of 5 exquisitely produced, innovative pop tracks, the poignant collection serves an honest, and direct reflection of the issues and daily challenges faced by millions of young people across the globe, as they try to live up to the unattainable, and often impossible, social expectations placed upon them by society.
Born out of a string conversations and voice notes sent between group members Halle, Virginia, Kyra, Kelli and Jess, and producer Klas Åhlund (Britney Spears, Charli XCX, Sugababes), the timely project sees the super-talented quintet use their music and songwriting skills as a vessel to document everything they have been through over the past few years; from mental health struggles to eating disorders, to produce a soul-stirring, sonically expressive body of work that is sure to strike a chord with fans both old, and new.

“We are five women coming to terms with our ‘Generation’ and what that means,” the ladies say in a joint statement released to accompany the launch of the EP.
“We are a group of friends in our early twenties who have chosen to be artists and write lyrics that tell our lived experience. Individually we have different stories and different issues, but come together to process them with RLY – we are all just women figuring this real life shit out.”
