Fans took to Twitter to express their shock at the half-empty arena on the London leg of Rihanna’s Anti World Tour. Rihanna performed at Wembley Arena – which usually has a capacity of 90,000 – on Friday night but didn’t draw in the crowds she’s used to.
Fans also complained that the singer disappeared from stage for up to 10 minutes at a time.
A source told The Mirror: “She rushed through the songs and everything was double the tempo. There were 10 minute dance breaks where she went off stage and nobody knew what is going on.
“People weren’t too happy with the performance and there were a lot of empty seats.”
One Twitter user said: “The Rihanna concert looked so empty. Embarrassingly empty.”
Been to every @rihanna tour to date… to say Wembley was a mess and disappointment is an understatement. Half full, mostly mimed joke!

The 28-year-old popstar raised concerns among her fans on Tuesday night after she broke down in tears during a performance in Ireland.
One concerned Twitter user said: “I’ve never seen Rihanna cry. Why is she crying?”
After the show, Rihanna took to social media and said she felt blessed to have the fans that she has but did not say why she was crying.
“What a night! Such an emotional show for me! I feel so lucky to have a team like the Navy man! I’m blessed! No matter what I’m on you always snatch me out of it! I’m so grateful to have y’all!”
