Rita Ora quits The X Factor

Pop superstar Rita Ora has announced that she will not be returning to The X Factor as a judge this year. Another one bites the dust – why is everyone leaving?!

The following statement was officially released by ITV today praising Rita for her success on the show and wished her luck for the future:

“Rita brought a great energy to the show last year and did a brilliant job mentoring the girls’ category, leading Louisa to victory.

“We wish her all the best with her music and film plans for the rest of the year.”

At least everything has ended on good terms! Rita’s departure comes months after fellow judges, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and Nick Grimshaw and last year’s presenters Caroline Flack and Olly Murs also announcing they were leaving the show. “Has Simon got anyone left?” we hear you ask! Well, no…not really. With former host and all round lovely guy Dermot O’Leary confirming his return to the award winning talent show, that’s all Simon’s got at the moment. There have been several rumors of returning judges such as Louis Walsh and Sharon Osbourne. Could the original three be back together at last?!

With Rita leaving The X Factor, it means she can focus on blessing our ears with some new tunes and gracing our cinema screens as Mia Grey in the newest addition to the Fifty Shades series – Fifty Shades Darker in 2017.

We at CelebMix wish Rita and everyone else leaving The X Factor the best of luck with the future!
