British pop / rap trailblazers Rizzle Kicks mix playful poignancy with introspective musings on their eagerly awaited third studio album ‘Competition Is For Losers’.

Made up of 14 superlative tracks – including the singles ‘Javelin’, ‘Gumdrops’, ‘New Sport’ and ‘Vice’ – the record serves as Harley and Jordan’s first LP in over decade, and sees the much loved duo return to the pop music “space sober, both in love and equipped with life lessons, self-awareness and self development they’ve built on separately” all the while retaining their sense of humour that always set them apart from other artists.
Filled with material that conveys a genuine sense of values, deviating from the binary viewpoint that people frequently have when they are younger and haven’t had to rebuild their lives after having their worlds destroyed. Above all, the music is unquestionably positive and comes from a happier, healthier setting.
Commenting on the record, Rizzle Kicks say in a joint statement: “It’s our best album yet. It’s definitely harder to promote than it used to be but we’re confident of its energy if you do listen. Everyone probably says that. Joy feels rebellious these days. So we stepped back into our own lane.”
The lads will hit the road this week for a number of album release signings, making stops in Newcastle, Manchester, Birmingham and London before finishing in Brighton. Limited tickets are available here.
