UK singer/songwriter Rojor has released his brand new single ‘Only Luv Can Hurt‘. The electro-pop track is upbeat yet melancholy, which showcases his unique knack for universal and emotive songwriting, and radio friendly, catchy pop hooks.
The new single is the follow up to his critically acclaimed 2016 album ‘Fatally Beautiful‘, which featured the hit singles ‘Everytime I See Her‘, and ‘Planet Ride‘. These were all examples of Rojor’s classic pop craftsmanship, and the songs earned him national airplay on one of the UK’S biggest radio stations BBC Radio 2 and also on BBC Radio Scotland. And countless local stations.
Along with the support from national radio, Rojor has also played live with The Magic Numbers, Primal Scream, Ren Harvieu, Wet Wet Wet’s Graeme Clarke and Martin Stephenson, and also had a headlining slot on the ‘FTWL Stage’ at BBC Music Live.
Speaking about his latest release ‘Only Luv Can Hurt’, Rojor says: “I guess it’s a bitter sweet love song. I love you and you love me can be pretty ordinary, but I love you and you love someone else? That’s interesting subject matter for any writer. Something so sweet can taste so bitter. What hurts the most – the love or the loss?”
