Youth-focused content development and production company Astronauts Wanted and Sony Music’s original video content division Rumble Yard recently had a joint NewFronts Presentation where both companies announced new and returning shows for the upcoming year.
The event was hosted by comedian and actress Nicole Byer, and featured performances by America’s Got Talent winner Grace Vanderwaal, as well as DJ duo Coco & Breezy.
Lee Stimmel, Head of Original Content at Sony Music Entertainment, said that at Rumble Yard, their focus is on music, and with their new shows, they are “committed to expanding the interaction between artists and fans.”
Meanwhile, Christine Murphy, the SVP of Branded Entertainment at Astronauts Wanted, said that the Astronauts Wanted company is dedicated to creating content for the new generation, and that they will be doing so with the company’s partnership with Ripple Entertainment’s ‘Snarled’ platform.

TURN TABLE: Today anchor Al Roker will be combining his love for cooking and music in Rumble Yard’s upcoming series “Turn Table,” which will feature a top chef and a top music artist each episode to discuss the similarities between their art forms.

MEMORIES: Disruptor/Columbia Records recording artists The Chainsmokers are currently working on a project called Memories, which will give fans an inside look on the band’s 40-city-arena tour.
TO THE BEAT: YouTube star Kurt Hugo Schneider will team up with some of today’s top artists, including Anderson Paak, T-Pain, and Aloe Blacc to remix some of their most popular songs. Apart from To the Beat, Schneider also discussed another partnership with Rumble Yard, titled Built By Music.
JUST THE BEGINNING: America’s Got Talent winner Grace Vanderwaal will have her own documentary titled Just the Beginning. The young singer also performed original songs from her debut EP Perfectly Imperfect at the event.

HEYUSA: YouTube sensations Grace Helbig and Mamrie Hart will return for a third season of their hit series, HeyUSA, which focuses on two best friends embarking on a road trip across the USA that is sure to filled with weird and hilarious moments.
AUSSIE GIRL: Pretty Little Liars’ Tammin Sursok introduced her scripted comedy series Aussie Girl, which is loosely-based on her own experiences moving from Australia to the city of Los Angeles.
UNDERBELLY: Rapper and Internet sensation Timothy DeLaGhetto will star in the series Underbelly, which will feature him visiting the best places to eat at night in different cities. He will also be meeting the characters behind the food and chatting with the locals.
