Sabrina Carpenter is not closing the door on a Girl Meets World revival just yet.
The “Thumbs” songstress chatted with TVGroove while she was in Tokyo for POPSPRING last month and discussed the future of the Disney Channel hit series.
“There’s a chance for everything,” Carpenter explained. “I think stranger things have happened. It’s so funny when you say that. I’m happy when people are upset about it ending because if they weren’t and were happy about it, that’s a bad thing, so when they’re upset that means we left something [people care about]. And I think that’s a really cool thing. But, we’ll see what happens. I don’t know.”
Carpenter also discussed how it felt growing up on the show, which filmed for three seasons. “We worked on it for four years. So, I think of it like family and I think it will always stick with me as a memory that I have of my childhood.”
When the announcement was made back in January that GMW had been cancelled, the teen took to Instagram to post a touching tribute to the series where she thanked her fellow co-stars-turned-family, fans and Disney. “I know I feel very lucky to have given life to Maya Hart,” she emphasized.
