Sam Fender is set to return to Newcastle for an intimate gig raising money for North East Homeless.

The Geordie singer will be returning to his home city for the intimate gig at O2 City Hall on May 24th for the special event. All proceeds made from the show will to North East Homeless, a charity for the vulnerable and homeless.

This is going to be next level. Newcastle get ready, I’m coming to you for a special intimate gig at the @O2CityHall on 24th May. We’ll be raising money for @2014NEH Enter the ballot for £5 to win a pair of tickets, exclusively through #O2Priority from Monday 10am x #Ad pic.twitter.com/bMTyaRJzKG

Those registered with O2  and Virgin Media can enter the ballot through O2 Priority. Users have until Sunday, May 15, and must make a minimum donation of £5, where 100% of the proceeds go to the charity.

Sam Fender has ensured since his big breakout in 2019 to continuously give back to the North in any way possible. This past Christmas alone, he appeared on the Christmas edition of the Big Issue, trying to encourage fans to purchase the magazine and aid the homeless crisis. Additionally, the rocker helped out at Newcastle West End Foodbank over the holiday period. His intimate gig comes just a few months after he became a patron of North East Homeless and furthers the support and aid shown to help the homeless crisis that faces the North East, as Shelter revealed there were 1,000 rough sleepers as of December 2021.

The hometown gig comes after Sam‘s mammoth UK arena tour, where the star took to sold-out crowds across the country including a stop at OVO Arena Wembley. He also claimed his second BRIT Award this year as he won Best British Alternative/Rock Act, and swept two NME Awards for Best UK Album and Best Album in the World for his Number One album Seventeen Going Under.
