Sam Smith Sets Official Chart Record

Well loved and successful UK singer, Sam Smith, recently broke a record for his album In the Lonely Hour. The debut album, released in May 2014, was in the Official Week Top 10 for 67 consecutive weeks!

According to Official Charts, Into the Lonely Hour is “the longest unbroken run ever for a debut album. The LP hasn’t left the Top 10 since its release in May 2014, where it debuted at Number 1”.

The album has done amazing with singles from the album having individual success as well. His first and second singles both got #1 in the UK. Smith’s third single, “Stay With Me”, reached number one in the UK and even reached international success, landing on US Billboard Hot 100 in the number two spot.

Smith has won numerous awards, some including Best New Act, British  Breakthrough Act, Record of the Year, Top Male Artist, and many more.

Smith is currently on tour promoting his album, better than ever after missing many shows due to vocal hemorrhaging.
