Earlier today, the fabulous Samantha Barks released her 12 song album titled ‘Samantha Barks’.
After fans saw her on BBC programme ‘I’d Do Anything’ back in 2008, people have fallen in love with her singing and her wonderful, joyful personality. Samantha came third on the series and went on to play Eponine, one of her dream roles, in the West End for a while. This got her noticed and it was announced that she would be playing the role of Eponine in the new Les Misérables film!
Ever since then, Sam has been growing daily and more people have started to know her and appreciate her true talent.
The self titled album was released today and, well, it’s more than we could have wished for! Including songs which we know Sam for like “On My Own” from Les Misérables and “As Long As He Needs Me” from Oliver!, she re-did these songs, adding her own twist on them and, well, she did an amazing job of it!
As well as the songs which Samantha is well known for, there are many others including “When He Loved Me” and “Troublemaker”.
Overall, the album is absolutely fantastic and is really worth a listen or two! We are proud of how far Samantha has come, growing in many ways from her voice to her spreading of positivity! We love her work and can’t wait to see where she goes in the future, and to see what projects she works on next!
