New York-based pop/R&B artist, model and actress Sammi Rae releases her new single/music video, “Secret,” a song about a relationship so intimate it needs to remain a private secret.
Of Moroccan descent, Sammi Rae, aka Samantha Rachel Murciano, began her career singing at the celebrated Bitter End. Since then, she’s released a series of striking reggaeton singles, including “Champagne,” “Closer,” “City Lights,” “Ella Se Atreve,” “Baby Baila,” “Escapate,” and “Nunca.”
On the heels of her well-received Tribeca Records debut ballad “Why Was It So Easy,” produced by Donnie Klang at The Loft Sound Studio, Sammi Rae has been hard at work on more upbeat and danceable Pop/R&B music with Joe Lindsay at SoundLab Studios on Long Island, the fruits of which are on full display with her new single “Secret.”
Inspired by her personal life experiences, Sammi Rae’s music serves as a beacon of light to others in similar circumstances, encouraging them to follow their dreams.
“Secret” opens on percolating tones riding a sensuous, syncopated rhythm, low-slung and erotic. Sammi’s sultry, crème de la crème vocals imbue the lyrics with delicious seductive timbres and silky textures. It’s one of those voluptuous voices that send thrilling chills up and down spines.
“Come a little closer to me / I’m in the mood, I’m feeling you / Ain’t nobody around to see / Whatever we do, it’s between me and you / You know I’m feeling for ya / You’re the one thing on my mind.”
Gliding, oozing harmonic leitmotifs give the tune a dripping, trickling flow, at once lush and full of glossy colors.
The video, by Insomne Media, focuses on Sammi in a variety of glamorous settings. Attired in assorted dazzling outfits, she reveals her alluring beauty as she narrates her innermost feelings.
Sammi Rae has it going on! Simultaneously chic and tantalizing, “Secret” pulls listeners in through the irresistible voice of Sammi Rae.
