US country artist and honorary Brit Sarah Darling is still sharing new music and keeping her fans entertained throughout the lockdown due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) global pandemic.
Despite being quarantined in her Nashville home, Darling is keeping in touch with her listeners across the world through social media and a series of live streams via her social channels. With a special baking, Instagram live every Thursday, a prayer session with Jenn Bostic on Wednesdays, and a Facebook special on Sunday’s Sarah is managing to keep in contact with her avid fanbase.
And it was during her Facebook live stream last night (Sunday, April 26th) that she confirmed that she will be releasing a brand new Campfire Sessions cover on May 8th. This time she will share her stunning stripped-back rendition of the Shania Twain classic ‘You’re Still The One’.
Twain, is the reason Sarah Darling is a country singer and has influenced her career throughout so her version of ‘You’re Still The One’ is extra special. Delivering a note-perfect rendition, Darling’s honey-toned vocals make the song truly her own. There are very few artists that are able to do a Shania Twain song justice, but Sarah Darling manages to do so with grace and ease.
Speaking about the Campfire Session series, Sarah says: “The name “Campfire Sessions” evokes a visual of sitting around a fire playing these to my friends. It brings me back to my childhood when I started with just a guitar, playing my tunes for anyone who would listen! These are acoustic covers of some of my favorite songs that hold special meaning to me or have influenced me at a time in my life. Most will have been hit songs when they were first released, although maybe not so well known now, so I’m really excited to be introducing them to my fans, done in my own way!”
