It’s been almost five years since singer-songwriter Sarah Solovay blessed us with new music, but we’re happy to announce that she is officially making her comeback!
‘Rough Draft’, which is the first track to be lifted from Sarah’s next EP, will be released on Friday (February 17). The powerful track is a suitably explosive return to music, and showcases a more mature sound from the singer-songwriter. Complete with raw lyrics and a strong beat, we guarantee you’ll be playing this anthemic track on repeat.
You can listen to a preview of ‘Rough Draft’ below.
To celebrate Sarah’s return, she will be performing a ‘Rough Draft’ release show in New York on Saturday (February 18). She will be gracing Stage 2 at Rockwood Music Hall at 9pm (doors open 8:30pm), with tickets costing $10. Find out more information here and don’t forget to grab your tickets quickly as we anticipate it will sell out!
Sarah has already had an incredible career. Before turning 18, she opened for John Mayer and Train on tour, appeared on the 90210 soundtrack and was submitted for a ‘Best New Song’ nomination by The Grammys. In 2012, she released her Superhuman EP, which is her last musical release to date.
Despite these incredible achievements, Sarah decided to hit pause on her music career and take some time out to grow and discover who she was as a person. She went to Yale University, where she graduated from in 2016, and continued to write music by taking inspiration from everything that was happening around her.
Now, she is ready to share what she’s been working on, with a new found strength, honesty and sensitivity to her music. Having time away has allowed Sarah to open up and create music which is true to her. It’s clear to see that her sound has evolved, and we’re fully excited for the new era of music from Sarah Solovay.
‘Rough Draft’ will be available on February 17.
