After one heck of a season finale, Riverdale is back with their second season, which picks up from the heart-breaking moment when Archie’s father, Fred Andrews, is brutally shot.

The assailant who shot Fred is still unknown, however, the trailer shows Archie taking his father to the hospital, leaving the gang with another mystery on their hands. With Fred being so beloved amongst the teens, we can guarantee they won’t stop until they find the person behind this.

“There’s almost a switch that goes off. It’s a completely different side of Archie that we haven’t seen” – KJ Apa (Archie Andrews)

The trailer is once again filled with secrets, talk of the Angel of Death and Cheryl nurturing her very burnt up mother. This season will be darker than the first and Riverdale will lose its innocence… we’re so very ready for it. With the Blossoms family getting smaller each day, Cheryl now takes charge and revels in her glory of becoming the strongest Blossom.

“Cheryl gets colder and meaner in Season 2 because of all that’s happened.” – Madeline Petsch (Cheryl Blossom)

Will Fred Andrews survive the shooting? Nobody is sure as of yet, but we will all know the answer to this on the season 2 premiere, October 11th.
