Rising British soul sensation Sekou has announced details of a special one-off headline show at London’s Bush Hall on Thursday, November 20th 2025, marking a major milestone in his fast-rising career. The intimate west London venue, known for hosting breakout performances from artists on the cusp of stardom, will provide the perfect backdrop for Sekou’s powerhouse vocals and emotionally rich songwriting.
The announcement follows a string of exciting developments for the young artist, including the reveal of his upcoming mixtape ‘In A World We Don’t Belong Pt. 1’, set to showcase his signature fusion of R&B, gospel, and pop influences. Made up of 5 superlative tracks, the project is scheduled to be released, Friday November 14th 2025.
Sekou made his return in August with the infectious neo-pop soul track ‘Catching Bodies’, which premiered on BBC Radio 1 and quickly amassed millions of streams, successfully reestablishing his presence on the global stage. His follow-up single, ‘Never Gunna Give You Up’, further highlighted his talent for blending nostalgic, familiar melodies with a refreshing modern edge, taking listeners on a vibrant, Motown-inspired sonic journey.
Having drawn comparisons to the likes of Sampha and Leon Bridges, Sekou’s live performances have quickly gained a reputation for their raw energy and soul-stirring delivery. After previously opening for the likes of FLO, and Reneé Rapp, his upcoming show in London serves as the singers first UK headline performance since his sold out gig at the OMEARA in May 2024.
Headlining Bush Hall represents a significant step for the Leicester-born singer, who has steadily built a devoted following through his heartfelt lyrics and soaring performances. With new music on the horizon and a headline debut in one of London’s most iconic venues, 2025 is shaping up to be a defining year for Sekou — and one that firmly establishes him as one of the UK’s most compelling new voices.
