US pop princess Selena Gomez and Canadian superstar The Weeknd whose real name is Abel Tesfaye first went public with their relationship earlier this year and since then the super adorable couple have been on a string of dates and are currently soaking up the sun together at the Coachella Festival.
And while we cannot deny that the 24-year-old and 27-year-old hitmaker’s make the picture perfect couple what we would really love the pair to do is release a collaboration. With Gomez’s sweet, husky vocals and The Weeknd’s impressive falsetto we just know that any song they record would sound insane.
We already know that Selena Gomez is recording her latest album which according to her label Interscope will be “next level”. Interscope Records’ John Janick and vice chairman Steve Berman opened up about Selena’s next album saying: “from what music we have already, blows away what she did before. I think there are a lot of artists now who are going to be putting out music that will sound similar to what she did on her last album.”
So with the 24-year-old officially recording her new album, now would be the perfect time for her to hook up with her handsome boyfriend and lay down some vocals for a collaboration that would be a guaranteed worldwide smash-hit.
We wish the cute couple all the happiness in the world and we will keep our fingers crossed for news of an imminent collaboration.
