As a follow up to her latest album Revival, Selena Gomez has announced that she’s already working on album number six! Gomez took to Instagram to confirm that she will be recording new music while on tour.
Just 8 months after she dropped her newest album, Gomez is already two weeks into the recording process for her next release! Revival was heard by the public on October 9, 2015.
Gomez’s previous releases include three albums with her band Selena Gomez & the Scene, and two on her own as a solo artist.
Her most recent album performed extremely well on the charts, gaining plenty of praise and reaching number one on the Billboard 200. Rolling Stone named Revival the fifth best pop album of 2015.
Following the release of her album, Gomez has been on a world tour performing her old classics and newest hits. On the Revival tour, she has gone above and beyond with her vocal ability and stage persona. She puts her all into an incredible performance, while never forgetting to acknowledge the fans.
Although she is already working on another album, Revival shows no sign of slowing down anytime soon. Gomez’s latest single “Kill Em With Kindness” is currently receiving radio play in many countries, spreading her positive message of staying above the haters.
Gomez told radio station 97.5 NOW FM,
“‘Kill Em With Kindness’ is lyrically my favorite song I put on the record, and I definitely can’t wait to be able to have that have a story.”
We love that she always encourages kindness in response to negativity!
Although it is unclear when her next album will be released, we can’t wait to hear what comes from Gomez next!
