Shakira’s music video for her 2010 single ‘Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)’ has surpassed two billion views on YouTube.

Released on June 4 2010 as the official FIFA World Cup song, the visual is now the 23rd most watched video on the platform.

‘Waka Waka (This Time For Africa)’ is Shakira’s second music video to reach the two billion mark. Her video for ‘Chantaje’ featuring Maluma has over 2.24 billion views and is the 18th most watched music video.

Wow, Waka Waka just became Shak’s second video (the first being Chantaje) to pass TWO BILLION views! Incredible. Increíble! Waka Waka es el segundo video de Shak (el primero fue Chantaje) en llegar a las 2 MIL MILLONES de reproducciones! ShakHQ https://t.co/cAYuaRcEvi

Shakira is one of only three female artists to achieve this incredible feat. Both Katy Perry and Taylor Swift have two videos which have garnered over two billion views: Katy with ‘Roar’ and ‘Dark Horse’, and Taylor with ‘Shake It Off’ and ‘Blank Space’.

Congratulations to Shakira for reaching two billion views with ‘Waka Waka (This Time For Africa)’. Check out the music video below.
