Yesterday we told you that judging by the dates of promo, Shania Twain’s new single ‘Life’s About To Get Good’ would be released June 16th and that date has now been officially confirmed by the star herself.
The uptempo track is the first release from Twain since her 2011 hit single ‘Today Is Your Day‘ and is the lead single from her new album ‘Now’ which is her first LP release in fifteen long years. Her last studio album was the Diamond selling ‘Up‘ way back in 2002.
The feelgood ‘Life’s About To Get Good’ was premiered to the world this April by the country music legend in front of over 50,000 people at the Stagecoach Festival. And Shania Twain has now officially confirmed that track will be available to download worldwide from this Friday (June 16th).
Twain confirmed the exciting news while speaking to Sportsnet’s Scott Oake while she attended this year’s Stanley Cup finals; “The single is coming out on June 16th, Life’s About To Get Good”.
But the official release date of her highly anticipated new single wasn’t the only music news Shania Twain confirmed. She also announced that her new album which is one of if not the most anticipated albums of the year, ‘Now’, has been brought forward. It was due to be released in September but fans can now expect to get their hands on the record in August; “the album is coming out in late August”, the country star said.
