Earlier this month we revealed that the next single to be lifted off Shania Twain’s massive number 1 comeback album ‘Now‘ would be the gorgeous ballad ‘Who’s Gonna Be Your Girl’, and now the 52-year-old singer has told about the inspiration behind the track saying that she got “lost” in the song while writing it for her first studio LP in fifteen years.
Speaking about the folk inspired single via a video on Twitter, Twain revealed that it is inspired a lot by the music she listened to during her childhood and is about wishing that someone would be different so you were able to rely on them.

The piano heavy track is one of the many standouts on ‘Now’ and with its mellow tones and soul production it’s a nice change of pace from the more pop infused singles ‘Life’s About To Get Good’, and ‘Swingin’ With My Eyes Closed‘, making it the perfect choice for the next official single to be taken off the hit album.
Shania Twain’s new single ‘Who’s Gonna Be Your Girl’ will be officially released on the 15th of December! Tickets for her 2018 world tour are on sale now.
