It feels like we have been waiting forever for the queen of country music Shania Twain to finally release her new music. Well in fact it has been an age since the Canadian superstar last released a studio album. 15 years to be precise.

The Diamond selling ‘Up!‘ LP was officially released way back in 2002 and since then we have only had a few new singles from the superstar; ‘Party For Two‘, ‘Don’t‘, ‘I Ain’t No Quitter‘ which were featured on her Greatest Hits album back in 2004, and ‘Today Is Your Day‘. The last being released in 2011, so that is six whole years we have gone without new materiel from the crossover queen.

Of course Shania made her huge comeback to the stage back in 2012 with her ‘Still The One’ Las Vegas Residency and her final concert tour two years ago in 2015. These shows were Twain’s first live performances since her diagnosis with Dysphonia.

Luckily her voice is now stronger than ever after undergoing surgery and she has been working hard in the studio recording her upcoming fifth studio album which she confirmed to Rolling Stone Magazine back in February is due for release in May-one month after she headlines the Stagecoach Festival.

During her interview with Rolling Stone, Shania Twain also confirmed that she is hopeful her lead single off the LP will be released this March, but with only a few days of the month remaining and no announcement from the 51-year-old beauty it was looking likely that fans would have to wait a while longer to hear her new materiel. But she has now dropped a big hint that the single could be dropping very soon with an exciting tweet, saying; “Expect some change and something different from my materiel”.

We are now very hopeful that we will finally hear her new music before the end of the month or at the very least have an official announcement of a release date. But supporters of the hitmaker better get ready for something different from her new stuff as she told Rolling Stone that she is “a different singer now”. She continued: “There was a lot of coming to terms with that. It’s been one of the obstacles in my life I’ve just had to learn to live with.”  

During the revealing and honest interview the vocal powerhouse also announced three song titles from the upcoming album; ‘Who’s Gonna Be Your Girl?’, ‘Swinging With My Eyes Closed’, and We Got Something They Don’t’.
