Being a teenager can be tough. Being a single parent as a teenager, that is an entirely different challenge. Shashicka Tyre-Hill was a mom at just 15 years old, dropping out of 9th grade to take odd jobs to support herself. With a tax refund, she launched an empire that she built upon her passion and has made a comfortable life for herself and her family.
A success coach helps their clients to develop strategies that will enable each of them to achieve their definition of success. As solutions are personalized per each client, this was a natural career for Shashicka as she is able to help people one-on-one and create a different plan for each individual or business she works with. Given her rise from a single teenage mom to a multimillionaire serial entrepreneur certainly gives her the expertise to excel in this position.
When asked as a child what she wanted to do, Shashicka’s response was to help the world by helping people. And this is exactly what she has done with her books, position as a success coach, and CEO of a hair care line. Facing alopecia herself, Shashicka set out to develop products that would let people’s hair grow naturally and without harsh chemicals. This led to the founding of Miracle Mink Hair Wholesale, Inc. Yet her quest to improve people’s lives didn’t stop here, it started Shashicka’s next endeavor: becoming a success coach.
Shashicka gives people realistic advice, especially when it comes to being an entrepreneur. She will honestly tell them it is not an easy job and to be prepared to put in a lot of long days. She also advises that people truly love what they do as there may be stretches of time they have zero revenues. She admits there have been months where she did not make as much as a dime, but she loves her brands, and this did not discourage her. Another method she emphasizes is to work smarter, not harder. A way of doing this is by building trust in others so you can efficiently delegate tasks.
Most importantly, she tells people that since we are all human, we will fail at some point in our lives. When this happens, do not let it stop you but view that failure as the path to a new success. If anyone has faced adversity it was Shashicka, but she told herself the same thing she now tells paying clients: never give up.
