International popstar Shawn Mendes is the latest act to be announced for the Rays of Sunshine concert.
The singer, who’s new album Illuminate is released on Friday, will perform at the show on October 24 at the SSE Arena, Wembley. The concert is in aid of the Rays of Sunshine Charity, which grants wishes to seriously ill children across the UK.
Jane Sharpe, CEO of Rays of Sunshine Children’s Charity, said: “We are thrilled to be able to add Shawn to the line-up of what we know is going to be a spectacular event, which will enable us to provide a night of distraction and entertainment to thousands of brave and deserving children. We are so grateful to SSE, The SSE Arena, Wembley and all our amazing performers for making this incredible night possible.”
It was also announced that Capital Breakfast presenters George Shelley and Lilah Parsons will co-host the event.
Shawn joins a superb line-up which was previously announced, including DNCE, Nicole Scherzinger, Fleur East, Lawson and Louisa Johnson. The evening will also see a very special performance from Nicole, singing a unique song with the Rays of Sunshine Children’s Choir, a group of brave and inspiring seriously ill children.
Tickets for the Rays of Sunshine concert start from £25 plus booking fees, and are available from the SSE Arena Website, AXS and Ticketmaster now.
