The American Music Awards are approaching quickly this year and its star lineup for 2018 is something that you don’t want to miss.

Broadcasting live on Oct. 9 on ABC, some of this year’s most popular and successful artists will take the stage to perform and receive awards for their music. The latest stars to join the roster for this year’s show are Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello. These two artists will perform at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California amongst others. Both The Mendes Army and Camilizers are still not over it and are not afraid to express that on social media.

Fans have been voting for both artists and tweeting about the AMAs for quite some time now. These recently announced performances are only adding to their excitement and leaving them more eager to watch. Although these two stars will not be performing together, fans are beyond ready to see what the two are doing separately.

Mendes will be performing Zedd’s remix of his track ‘Lost In Japan’ with Zedd accompanying him on stage. This will be the live debut of the recently released remix and will most likely get stuck in viewers’ heads for the rest of their night.

In other news, it is rumored that Cabello will be performing her hit single ‘Havana,’ although some fans believe there may be some kind of twist to this performance. The 21-year-old singer is nominated for five awards, one being for her highly successful music video for ‘Havana.’

Other performances, announced prior to Mendes and Cabello, include Carrie Underwood, Dua Lipa, Taylor Swift and Mariah Carey. Be sure to tune in to see who wins the most anticipated awards and see all of the performances at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
