To celebrate the release of his second studio album Illuminate, Shawn Mendes stopped by The Tonight Show last Thursday evening. Not only did he perform his latest single, “Mercy” with The Roots, the 18-year-old had some extra fun with Jimmy Fallon for one of the host’s weekly hashtag bits.
“Watch me sneeze until I can’t breathe/ Allergies are gonna kill me.” Mendes happily sang hilarious fall-themed parody lyrics to popular songs, including his very own hit, Stitches. The lyrics had been submitted on Twitter by viewers with the hashtag “#FallSongs.”
We have come to the realization that Shawn could sing something as simple as math equations from a text book and still make it sound beautiful.
