SINGLE REVIEW: Liv Austen’s ‘The Next Time’

Country music is officially the fastest growing genre in the UK which is mainly down to major homegrown acts; Ward Thomas and The Shires, but while these two record-breaking duos are spearheading the growth of country in Britain, a whole host of new British acts are rising through the ranks.

The UK is now home to a number of budding country acts such as Kevin McGuire, Jess and the Bandits, Carolynne, Sam Palladio, Yola Carter, and many more. And one of the most exciting new British country artists is Liv Austen.

Austen will release her brand new single ‘The Next Time’ tomorrow (September 15th) and the catchy track today premiered exclusively on the UK country music website Belles and Gals.

The song is a real standout from Liv Austen, with shades of old-school Taylor Swift the country/pop track will no doubt be a big hit with the new crop of country fans and will open doors for fans of other genres to enjoy country for the first time.

Liv Austen’s vocals are crystal clear, while the sweet melody, and extremely catchy lyrics make it a real belter of a song. The pop infused guitar strings add another level, and make it the perfect candidate to become a major crossover hit.  It’s definitely Liv’s best release to date!

RATING: 4.5/5.
