Today, March 20th, marks the International Day Of Happiness. The concept is the brainchild of social entrepreneur Jayme Illien, and in 2012 the UN signed a resolution pledging to recognize happiness as not only a ‘right’ but a “fundamental human goal.”

Released in 1985, this timeless piece of pop still receives regular airplay and advertisement spots with a former label employee rightly describing it as a ‘crown jewel in EMI’s catalog.’

What started out as an innocent pop song turned into a worldwide movement for happiness. As music lovers, we’re personally so proud of what this song has achieved on a social scale and equally as excited for Pharrell to be an advocate for such an important issue. Ladies and gentleman, music has no borders.

A little bit of nostalgia never hurt anybody. There have been many covers of this legendary tune but Journey did it first and best. The ultimate power ballad to blast out at the end of the night to complete any good gathering..
