Sky Ferreira looks set to release new music this week.
The American singer teased fans on Instagram over the weekend, promising “lots of surprises next week”.
Ferreira first announced details of her second studio album ‘Masochism’ back in April 2015, but due to health issues the record was delayed.
Speaking to Dazed magazine in February of this year, Sky confirmed that the record would be released before the end of 2016.
Explaining the meaning behind the albums title Ferreira said “I started writing the lyrics two years ago when I was touring, and that’s when the name came to me.”
“The way I look at it, it’s about going from one thing to another. I’ve learned a lot about myself and my own self-value.”
“Before, in order to feel good about anything there had to be some kind of struggle, a painful way to get to it, otherwise I felt I didn’t really deserve it.”
Producers confirmed for Masochism include Mike Dean, Ariel Rechtshaid and Rahki.
Sky Ferreira’s debut album ‘Night Time, My Time’ was released back in 2013 and featured the singles You’re Not The One and I Blame Myself.
