One year ago today, Shawn Mendes released the Grammy-nominated song, “In My Blood.” When the song first came out, Mendes talked about the meaning behind it and how it chronicled his anxiety, depression, etc. It was met with great reviews from critics and fans and has helped many people understand their struggles with anxiety and mental health issues.

A single from Ariana Grande’s album, “Sweetener,” this song gives people the strength to carry on and breathe through the tough times.

The singer has struggled with staying sober throughout her life. “Sober” is her apology and her cry for help. Very powerful song.

This song reassures those struggling that there is someone there for them. While they may not necessarily fix them, they can fix that moment when they are feeling down.
“Demons” – Imagine Dragons
This song will help you understand the demons inside you. It shows that anyone can be struggling and some people may not want to express it but it is helpful to talk about it.
“Safe and Sound” – Taylor Swift
The Grammy-nominated song from the ‘Hunger Games’ soundtrack may not be the first song you think of when you think anxiety or mental health, but if you listen to the words, you will know exactly why this song is on the list
“Praying” – Kesha
Kesha spoke up about the abuse she received from Dr. Luke, her previous record producer. “Praying” shows forgiveness and freedom from being trapped. The Grammy-nominated song sparked Kesha’s comeback and showed how she overcame the hardest time in her life.
