Alternative rock outfit South Arcade take listeners on a nostalgic trip down memory lane this week with the unveiling of their latest single ‘HOW 2 GET AWAY WITH MURDER’.
Written by the band, with production and mixing by guitarist Harry Winks, the arresting track serves as the follow up to previous single release ‘stone cold summer’, which has amassed over a million plays on Spotify in just a matter of weeks.
Commenting on the song, singer Harmony Cavelle says: “‘HOW 2 GET AWAY WITH MURDER’ quickly came to life after I binge-watched the 2000’s series Dexter – a show surrounding a vigilante serial killer who punishes those who he believes deserve it. The song drew inspiration from the extreme gruesome nature of the show. We had a lot of fun writing the song and hope listeners have fun listening when they hear it too!”

As well as gearing up for their sold-out I Was Here First Tour later in the year, the group will play a series of live dates at various festivals throughout the summer, including a headline slot on the BBC Introducing… stage at Reading & Leeds Festival.
The quartet will also support pop-punk star NOAHFINNCE on his tour in November.
News of their many appearances comes following the band’s single ‘DANGER‘ hitting 1 million streams after the track began blowing up across social media and a huge surge in fans. The track now has over 3 million streams on Spotify alone.
Speaking of the upcoming tour and the success of ‘DANGER’ the awesome foursome say: “It was crazy how quickly ‘DANGER’ has reached so many new people. We didn’t have any headline shows planned for the rest of the year but we knew we had to meet these new fans and what better way than playing some gigs? We can’t wait to welcome the newcomers to the South Arcade world – see you in the Autumn!”
