On July 20th, Steve Aoki fulfilled his promise and revealed the remix for BTS’ “The Truth Untold” at Tomorrowland. Aoki was the closing set for Day 1and he made sure to end it on a powerful note.
Aoki is a Grammy nominated DJ, producer and a music executive who has released several chart topping albums. Last year, he collaborated with BTS for their single “MIC DROP”. His remix of the single received a highly positive response across the globe. Even today, MIC DROP is one of the most popular tracks released by the group.
A few days ago, Aoki announced that he will be releasing a remix for “The Truth Untold”, a track released by BTS’ vocal line as a part of their new album “Love Yourself: Tear.” The original single too had been co-written and produced by the DJ. A pop ballad, the single is a heart wrenching narrative of an individual who cannot show her/his real self to the beloved. The mellow tunes give Jungkook, Jimin, V, and Jin to showcase their vocal talents.

When Aoki revealed the remix, no one would have thought that the single can be turned into a dance track as well. The producer laced the tune in such a manner that beat drops were oozing out of the song in a most natural way.

The beauty of the remix lies in beats’ placement. It would have been so easy to ruin a soft pop ballad but Aoki showcased his genius by placing the drops and dance tunes at the right place and the right time. The remix was immediately followed up with the remix of “MIC DROP” featuring Desiigner.
ARMYs have now got two variants – one for the rainy day and the other for a bright day. The fans are definitely elated to see the rendition and this became evident when they trended #TheTruthUntoldRemix worldwide on Twitter. It’s a perfect tribute to the DJ who completed his eighth year at the Tomorrowland.
