After much anticipation over the Halloween weekend, the news finally broke at 7pm this evening: The Stone Roses are back with 3 massive dates for 2016.

The cult Manchester band will play two headline shows at Manchester’s Etihad Stadium on Friday June 17th and Saturday June 18th. Tickets for both dates go on sale Friday November 6th at 9:30am.

Along with the two stadium dates, The Stone Roses will also headline T in The Park festival on July 8th in Scotland’s Strathallan Castle as was announced on the official festival Facebook page.

Rumours regarding the band have been circulating over the weekend after press sources indicated an announcement would be made today (Monday November 2nd) with some fans speculating a new album was in the works; an album which would be the band’s first in 20 years if true.

The band are now second favourites to headline Glastonbury 2016 behind Adele with bookies slashing odds on both acts after huge buzz this week.
