    Stranger Things, Beyonce and more nominated for the Webby Awards 2017

    The nominations for 21st Annual Webby Awards have been revealed. The nominees include Netflix series Stranger Things, Pokemon Go, and several artists like Beyonce, Lady Gaga, George Michael and Selena Gomez. The winners for the awards will be announced on 25th April.

    As reported by Billboard,

    “The winners will be decided by a panel of IADAS members who include Jimmy Kimmel, Making a Murderer creators Laura Ricciardi and Moira Demos, Gimlet Media CEO Alex Blumberg, Instagram director of fashion partnerships Eva Chen and Questlove.”

    The public will also have a chance to vote for their favorites. The voting will start from Tuesday, April 4, through Thursday, April 20.

    They Webby Awards are presented by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences in an attempt to celebrate the “excellence on Internet”.

    Keeping in mind the myriad of media types that people use to showcase their work, the awards now comprises of 6 categories: Websites, Film & Video, Advertising, Media & PR, Social, Mobile Sites & Apps and Podcasts & Digital Audio.
